As we approach the end of another school year, we begin to reflect on our success and achievements throughout 2026. Our theme this year was ‘Growth through change’, where we embraced a growth mindset and applied this to all facets of schooling. For the students, this looked like challenging themselves to be courageous in growing with God to overcome all obstacles that may come their way. This was done by strengthening their trust in the Lord by spending time in scripture.
Using the Word of the Lord is a brilliant way for our students to reflect on their purpose and place in the world and how they can shape their futures by ensuring God is at the centre of all we do. The book of Matthew says, ‘But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well’. Our students, at times, require consistent guidance and support, and nowhere will we find greater guidance than the Bible. Our students use this time in reflection to understand that all of life's challenges can be overcome with the power of God, and no-one’s path forward is fulfilling unless it is with God. As our students continue to work through their school curriculum, we pray that the words of wisdom they find in the Bible will strengthen and empower them to persevere, no matter the challenge ahead.
“Keep this book of the law always on your lips, meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. - Joshua 1:8”
For our staff, this year was about unity and working together to strive towards common goals. Our academic focus on lifting student outcomes; improving our literacy and numeracy standards was achieved through partnering with each other and strengthening our teaching to build greater understanding in our classrooms. The work has been hard and relentless but through belief in ourselves and leaning on God, we have achieved success.
Perhaps our greatest example of growth through change this year has been the school community’s willingness to partner with all its members, to set goals that benefit all, and to be united in our advance and pursuit of growth. 2026 will certainly be remembered as a year of teamwork and collaboration in which we have unified together to make this year the most amazing year for our entire school community.
