This term, we have continued to celebrate students who demonstrate our school values through our Café Reward Program. Every second week, students who have been recognised for their positive actions, respectful behaviour, and commitment to our school values receive a Café Card. These students are invited to our school café in the PAC where they are served a Milo and a biscuit as a reward for their good work. The café has become a popular event and provides an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the many students who contribute positively to our school community. Another key focus this term has been our ‘Hands Off’ initiative, which was introduced in October last year. We continue to monitor this closely across the school as we work to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students. We have been reinforcing the importance of personal safety, respectful interactions, and keeping hands and feet to ourselves. Through classroom discussions, playground reminders, and consistent expectations, we are helping to create a safe, supportive, and positive environment where all students can learn and thrive. As part of my role, I have also been monitoring student uniform standards. We have noticed an increase in students wearing colourful sneakers and canvas shoes to school. Families are reminded that students are expected to wear plain black school shoes in accordance with our uniform policy. Fluorescent-coloured shoes and canvas shoes are not permitted, as outlined on page four of the Uniform Policy accessible on the Emmanuel Christian School website.
